Philipos lunch and bazaar

On Wednesday 6th the MCPS had another succesful fundraiser this story is from Grace

If you didn’t make it to Philipos last Wednesday, then you missed a really good fundraiser.

There were more stalls than we’ve had in previous years, with one of the most popular being Linda’s sweet shop. She had all those old favourites we used to get back in the UK. Pontefract cakes, cough candy and chocolate caramels.

Shirley, one of our supporters, and feeder of the beach cats, kindly made us a Christmas cake, so we did, guess the weight. It was was won by John Crowther, being the nearest to the 5.48kgs.

We have also been selling dates for a beautiful quilt made by Marlene Wallington and her band of quilters, since June. This was won by Rosemary Heyes, and it raised a total of ?148 over the period.

All in all it was a really good day, and raised a total of ?587.

Thank you all for supporting MCPS.

All the cats and kittens wish you a

"Merry Christmas and Happy New Year"
